| On Melbourne Cup Day 2007 (06 November), having been a gorgeous spring day, I grabbed my camera and went into the nearby Dandenongs to take some photos. Unfortunately, it is not allowed to publish those taken in William Ricketts Sanctuary online due to strict copyrights, but I'd like to show you a few taken in the Rhododendron Gardens. | |

My hobby is family history |
| I 'caught the bug' only just over 10 years ago (and thoroughly <g>) when, in 1997, I came into possession of a photocopy (of a photocopy … of a photocopy …) of a report from 1938, compiled and typed by Christian Schonger, a distant cousin, about my now late husband Hasso's family and ancestry, the Kranzbühler family, dating back to ca. 1675 and containing some 600 family members. (Unfortunately, the report doesn't contain source citations and errors have already been found) | |

Since ca 2000, I've finally been in a position to actively research |

I'm trying to confirm the data in the report as well as extend it, and I am,
of course, also researching my own family, all with varying success. I have
published data known to me here in the hope that fellow researchers of my
families of interest might contact me so we may combine our efforts. Some of the data published has not yet been confirmed and must be considered with caution (please consider the respective citations listed) I would love to hear from anyone who has further information or corrections to offer or who would like more info on my data. |
